Professional seminar in Kielce (2015)

On 25-27 November 2015 in Kielce (PL) there is held professional seminar for liaison officers from the Regional Police Headquarters, the Metropolitan Police Headquarter and the Central Police Investigation Bureau who are responsible for international issues. The event is organised by the International Police Cooperation Bureau of National Police Headquarters under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” co-financed fron Norway Grants (2009-2014).

The seminar was opened by insp. Rafał Łysakowski, Director of the International Police Cooperation Bureau. The participants were also welcomed by insp. dr Rafał Kochańczyk, Commander of Regional Police Headquarters in Kielce.

The seminar is dedicated to use of Schengen Information System and other channels of information exchange by the Police. Particular emphasis is put on practical aspects of work with these systems.

The purpose of this meeting is to give an insight and explain issues related to use of available channels of information exchange by the Polish Police, including SIS II, Interpol and Europol andto present tools to combat criminality (e.g. EUCARIS, EURODAC/VIS, monitoring systems of Custom Service).

During the second day of the seminar practical part is foreseen – wrkshops and discussion during which the participants will be able to practice and share their experiences and opinions, to find answers to any questions or doubts related to daily work.

The seminar is run by the representatives of the International Police Cooperation Bureau and he liaison officers.

The next conference under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” will be held in Poznan (PL) on 17-19 February 2016.
