National conference in Wroclaw (2014)

On 08-10.10.2014 in Wrocław under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” second out of five conferences for national SIS users will be held, among others for representatives of the Police (including officers responsible for conducting searches of missing persons and representatives of SIRENE Bureau), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Guard and the Centre for Missing People – ITAKA. Searches of the missing persons will be the main theme.

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Missing persons who should be placed under protection,
  • Missing minor persons,
  • Parental abductions,
  • The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction,
  • Migration of alerts concerning missing persons from National Police Information System (KSIP) to the second generation Schengen Information System (SIS II),
  • Tasks of Polish SIRENE Bureau in searches focused on Poland,
  • Practical aspects of the international cooperation under ENFAST,
  • How to use linking of alerts in searches.

 

The first conference was held on 03-05.09.2014 in Poznań. The central theme of the conference was the quality of data entered to SIS in respect of their adjustment to SIS II requirements and matters related to the misused identity.
