National conference in Poznan (2016)
On 17-19 February 2016 in Poznan there is held national conference organised by the International Police Cooperation Bureau of the National Police Headquarters under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation co-financed from Norway Grants (2009-2014). It is dedeicated to preventing and combatting terrorism, including threats posed by so-called foreign fighters.
The conference was opened by mł. insp. Piotr Mąka, Deputy Commander of the Regional Police Hedquarter in Poznan and podinsp. Łukasz Wliński, Deputy Director of the International Police Cooperation Bureau of the National Police Headquarters.
The topic of the conference is a continuation of the issues discussed during the previous conferences - international conference (Cracow 02-04.09.2015) and national conference (Wrocław 08-10.10.2015) when the issues related to the massive influx of immigrants to Schengen zone and risks liaised with it were presented. Apart from them recent events, in particular terrorist attacks are covered.
According to the agenda, there will be presented tools and forms of international cooperation of appropriate national services, channels of information exchange (SIS, Interpol, Europol), procedures in case of terrorist threat or attack at the territory of Poland, different security scenarios at Schengen zone, issues related to the possible reintroduction of border controls, preparation of Polish services to the aforementioned threats and events, including the forthcoming mass international events in Poland in 2016, state-of-art in legislative works in the field of terrorism.
