National conference in Torun (2015)
On 08-10.07.2015 in Torun there is held subsequent (seventh) national conference organized by the International Co-operation Bureau of National Police Headquarters under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” co-financed from Norway Grants (2009-2014).
The conference was opened by insp. Rafał Łysakowski, Director of the International Co-operation Bureau of National Police Headquarters.
It’s main topic is system of SIS II trainings (structure, programs, trainers and participants, evaluation) in respect of possible modifications which can result in more effective process of trainings, especially in adjusting training programs to expectations and needs of their addressees.
Trainings are crucial to spread and update knowledge related to SIS II and to use SIS II correctly and efficiently. This is highlighted by European Commission which encourages Member States to share knowledge and experiences and to use available tools and resources.
As financial issues related to trainings tend to be blocking points, during this conference tools which can be useful to gain knowledge related to SIS II will be presented, e.g. projects under Norway Grants and Prevention of and Fight against Crime (ISEC).
In conference 70 persons take part – representatives of:
- the Border Guard,
- the General Prosecution,
- the Central Anticorruption Bureau,
- the Police schools,
- the National Police Headquarters.
Next conference (international) under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” co-financed from Norway Grants (2009-2014) will be held in Cracow on 02-04.09.2015. It’s main topic will be entering of SIS II alerts pursuant to art 24 of SIS II Regulation.
