National conference in Poznan (2014)
On 03-05.09.2014 in Poznan there was held the first out of five national conferences organized by the International Co-operation Bureau of National Police Headquarters under project „New challenges for SIS users related to SIS II implementation” co-financed from Norway Grants (2009-2014).
The central theme of the conference was the quality of data entered to SIS in respect of their adjustment to SIS II requirements and matters related to the misused identity.
The representatives of the following institutions took part in the conference:
- Prosecution General,
- Ministry of Justice,
- District Prosecutor’s Offices,
- Office for Foreigners,
- Internal Security Agency,
- local Police units,
- International Co-operation Bureau of National Police Headquarters,
- Criminal Service Bureau of National Police Heaquarters.
The following topics were discussed:
- Adjustment of alerts migrated from SIS 1 to requirements of SIS II on the example of solutions implemented by the Police as one of the SIS users,
- Requirements related to adjustments of alerts entered pursuant to art.26 of Decision 533/2007 – legal aspects,
- Adjustment of alerts entered pursuant to art. 26, 32, 34 of Decision 533/2007 (95 CISA) migrated from SIS 1 to SIS II from the perspective of Ministry of Justice as one of the SIS users entitled to make SIS entries: roadmap, burdens, difficulties.
- Process of deletion of alerts entered pursuant to art.34 of Decision 533/2007 from the perspective of Ministry of Justice as one of the SIS users entitled to make a/m SIS entries,
- Preparation of UK to participation in SIS II – categories of identity processed in SIS II, making entries and quality of data related to alias/misused identity, definitions, legal bases, procedures.
The aforementioned topics were presented by the representatives of:
- Ministry of Justice,
- International Co-operation Bureau of National Police Headquarters,
- Criminal Service Bureau of National Police Heaquarters.
The next national conference will be held on 08-10.10.2014 in Wroclaw, it’s central theme will be searches of missing persons.
